What Is a Color Wheel Generator?
A color wheel generator creates a custom circular diagram of colors based on your chosen parameters — number of segments, saturation, lightness and starting hue. Traditional color wheels use 12 equal segments, but modern digital wheels can have any number — useful for detailed color reference charts or for teaching color theory with customized visuals.
How It Works
The wheel is drawn on an HTML5 Canvas. Each segment covers 360 / N degrees of the hue circle, with the color computed in HSL using your chosen saturation and lightness. Adjusting the starting hue rotates the entire wheel — useful for aligning segment 1 with a specific brand hue.
